Happy New Year – What January will bring!

Black Forest

After a few days offline in the Black Forest I am happy to be back at wwuerth.com. 2014 must be the year of this blog. 🙂

I am currently working on different and interesting content formats and categories, to get in a more regular publishing mode and to keep quality of each post on a high level. I was thinking of short interviews, personal web highlights, thoughts on digital publishing and regular posts about things I am interested in.

One thing is digital photography.

I am an enthusiast with no talent, so don’t expect anything mind blowing … 🙂 But I am using Sony’s NEX 7 and some vintage Leica M lenses, which is a lovely combination. I am not sure if a lot of people have identified this huge potential of digital photography and their old lenses. And I am very excited about the new mirror less Alpha 7 (A7 and A7R) with a full frame 35 mm sensor. There is already a lot of info out there like this video from DigitalRev, and I am waiting for Philip Blooms review. So expect a personal summary soon.

Where will you find me during the next weeks?

I will be in the US on our #mbrt14 road trip from Houston, TX to Detroit, MI starting next week. Unfortunately I won’t make it to CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas this time. I am too afraid of getting my face tattooed there. 🙂 As part of my regular job I will also be at NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) in Detroit, where we will unveil the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Digital Life Design

Mid January I will attend #DLD14 in Munich. A conference about everything digital, hosted by German publisher Hubert Burda. It is always inspiring to be there. I do not expect the next big thing, but very intelligent people sharing their thoughts and having interesting conversation. I keep you posted.

DLD (Digital-Life-Design) is a global network on innovation, digitization, science and culture which connects business, creative and social leaders, opinion-formers and influencers for crossover conversation and inspiration.

That’s it for now. Did I miss anything … ?

Maybe I should add another food post soon …
